Be Prepared: Audition Workshop
Across two weekends, you will have the opportunity to learn about audition processes, what's really going on behind that panel desk and how to be truly prepared to take on any audition with confidence.
You'll walk away with tips from industry professionals on everything from simply walking in the room, to picking up choreography, and how to self-tape; you’ll get shiny new headshots and a formatted resume; and we'll even get you started with your personal audition songbook.
Whatever your level of performance - whether it is your first community theatre show or your next professional opportunity - we can help you BE PREPARED for your next audition.

$280.00 per person including workshops, headshots, audition pack and lunch each day.

FAQs
Who are the workshops for? Anyone can benefit from these workshops whether you are an experienced performer or just starting out. The purpose is to give participants the tools to be prepared and confident going into auditions at any level. Many performers find auditions daunting, so we want to demystify the process and provide you with practical tips and skills so that you can give your best possible performance for any audition panel.
Are the workshops for children or adults? The workshops are intended for adults and older teens (16+). Younger participants who are independent and mature are welcome to register at their parents’ discretion and on the understanding that the workshop staff will not be responsible for supervision. We will consider holding a separate session for children/teens later in the year.
How many places are there in the workshops? These are highly personalised workshops with only 24 places available (yeah, 24, we know! That’s actually just happens to be the number of headshot sessions and mock auditions we can fit in to the schedule).
What is included in the workshop fee? The full workshop program, 3 headshot images, lunch each day and a workshop pack for $280. We have kept costs low to make the workshops as accessible as possible.
Can I do all the workshop sessions or do I pick and choose? The full workshop program consists of the audition information session and feedback panel, the mock audition process, your headshot photography appointment and various small-group workshop sessions. These sessions may run simultaneously and/or multiple times, and will be scheduled according to interest, so you should be able to do any and all of the sessions that you wish to over the course of the two days. You can express your interest in the dance workshop (at one of two levels), music preparation workshops and self-tape workshop during the online booking/registration.
What happens during times that I’m not scheduled for a session? At any time that you’re not scheduled for a specific session, photography or audition, you will be able to access sheet music to work on your audition songbook, work on your performance resume and seek personal advice from the workshop team.
I love my headshots - can I buy more than 3 images? Our photography partners, Creative Street, will provide you with processed files of the 3 best images from your session. They will select the most appropriate headshots in consultation with you, but if you want more images, you can either request to purchase additional images from the workshop session or we recommend that you book in a follow-up session at which they can work with you to provide a broader range of headshot styles.
